eight++ - a visual language for distributed graphical processing

This blog is created to track the development of an open source visual language for efficient extensible distributed graphical engine. The idea of this language comes from my engagements as a developer of domain specific visual language platforms (graphlogic.com and streambase.com), and a developer of theatre visualization applications using visual tools for real time graphical processing (Isadora and Quartz Composer, FreeFrame). Availability of such strong frameworks as processing, cinder, openframeworks, syphon and others creates a solid ground and an unmet need for a higher-level open source visual language, eight++.
